THE LIFE CADETS

Working with children's care homes, guardian and support organisations to help young people discover their potential, build confidence, and plan and forge their own positive life pathways.

Go for it!

Our mission

The Life Cadets is a not-for-profit organisation set up to help young people — particularly marginalised and disadvantaged young people — achieve their potential, better life experiences, and better life outcomes.

The Life Cadets' mission is to partner with young people’s care home, guardian, support and other organisations to create national initiatives/programmes throughout a spectrum of fields of human endeavour, working closely with commercial, industrial, sports, arts, guild, education and special interest groups. Together with the support of our Patrons, Sponsors and Initiative Leaders, we endeavour to open doors to positive experiences and create introductions for young people to an array of potential life pathways/careers.

We help young people to explore their potential, to see possibilities/opportunities, to develop confidence and resilience, and to plan and forge their own individual life pathways. Initially, our focus is on supporting young people in care homes.

We can’t change the past, but we can help improve young people’s chances in life going forward.

What we do

Explore Life Pathways

We help young people discover a wide range of possible futures, including options they may never have been exposed to before.

Open Doors to Opportunity

By working with industry, sport, arts, education and community partners, we create access to real-world experiences.

Build Confidence & Resilience

Through hands-on participation, mentoring and encouragement, young people build belief in themselves.

Turn Plans into Action

We encourage young people to take responsibility for their future and to actively work towards making it happen.
