Why get involved with The Life Cadets
The Life Cadets exists to open doors for young people — particularly those who are marginalised or disadvantaged — by creating real opportunities, experiences and pathways into adult life.
We work with people who want to do more than talk about change.
We work with people who want to help make it happen.
Become a Life Cadet Patron
The Life Cadets relies on the support of patrons to help turn ideas into action.
Patrons play a vital role by helping fund initiatives and by supporting the resources needed to make them possible — from equipment and facilities, to transport, materials and services.
Being a Life Cadet Patron is about more than financial support. It’s about believing in young people and helping them identify what they are capable of becoming.
Why become a Patron?
Become a Life Cadet Initiative Leader
Life Cadet Initiative Leaders are the people who make things happen.
Each initiative is led by someone who is experienced in their field and willing to share their time, knowledge and access to help young people gain exposure to real-world opportunities.
These are not honorary roles.
They are active, hands-on roles for people who enjoy opening doors and creating experiences.
Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for people in industries, trades, professions, sports, the arts and businesses who feel they have something valuable to contribute and who enjoy helping young people identify their potential.
What might this involve?
Become a Life Cadets Sponsor
We’ll be honest — The Life Cadets needs sponsors to make its initiatives happen.
Sponsorship supports the practical costs involved in running initiatives, including equipment, transportation, consumables, facilities, services and wages.
By sponsoring The Life Cadets, individuals and organisations have the opportunity to align themselves with meaningful, positive work that supports young people and strengthens communities.
